Evgeni Nabokov Reportedly Close to Signing With Red Wings

With so many NHL teams having potential issues in goal, it's a bit of a surprise that veteran Evgeni Nabokov is still available.

That might not be the case for long.

Multiple reports, including one from TSN, have Nabokov close to signing a deal for the rest of the season with the Detroit Red Wings.

Nabokov left the San Jose Sharks after last season, and he signed a multi-year deal with SKA St. Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League. When he and the team decided to part ways, Nabokov became a free agent again.
