Green Bay (10-6) was forced into a must-win scenario after the Buccaneers toppled the Saints in Week 17, and though the Packers played an ugly game on Sunday, they got the job done, felling the NFC North-winning Bears, 10-3. It was a triumphant victory for Green Bay, a team that less than a month ago lost to the then-2-10 Lions.
Philadelphia, on the other hand, can only be described with the phrase "limping into the playoffs." The Eagles (10-6), after that Sunday was declared a snow day by the league, surprisingly lost to the Vikings last Tuesday in Week 16. Faced with a meaningless game in Week 17, the Eagles chose to rest nearly all their offensive and defensive starters. While the players -- especially Michael Vick, who was seen limping around the field in the waning moments of that Tuesday game -- certainly needed the rest, the break in momentum could wind up costing the team dearly in the playoffs.
