Aubrey Huff Gets 2-Year Deal From Giants

Aubrey Huff was among the best free-agent bargains of last winter, signing a one-year, $3 million deal with the Giants and playing a huge part in their run to a World Series championship.

The first baseman will be back in San Francisco next season and beyond, and he'll be retroactively rewarded on payday for the work he did in 2010. The Giants announced Tuesday that they have re-signed Huff to a two-year deal with a team option for 2013. According to The Associated Press, Huff will be paid $10 million each of the next two seasons, and the option -- which can be bought out for $2 million -- carries the same salary.

"We're extremely excited to be able to re-sign Aubrey," Giants general manager Brian Sabean said in a statement. "He was an integral part in the team's success last season, not only with his outstanding play in the field, but also providing a great clubhouse presence."
