Jeff Fisher Says His Focus No Longer on Vince Young for Remainder of Season

When it comes to quarterback Vince Young, Jeff Fisher is ready to move on.

Fisher, the Tennessee Titans' coach, on Monday announced that Young will be placed on injured reserve after sustaining a thumb injury in a 19-16 loss to the Washington Redskins Sunday. Fisher also addressed the aftereffects of Sunday's locker room incident between he and Young.

Mostly, he said, he's ready to put the issue in the past. At least for now.

"My focus is no longer on Vince Young; my focus is moving forward with this team," Fisher said Monday. "As I mentioned last night, Rusty Smith will start, we will bring Chris Simms in in the morning.

"He, in all likelihood will be a two until Kerry (Collins) gets better. Obviously we have to get back to winning football games, so that is going to be the focus this week."
