MIAMI -- It's not hard to hit shots when there is no one within 10 miles of where you are shooting.Carlos Arroyo just smiles at the thought. It's how it feels every night now, like taking target practice at the shooting range.
Arroyo , now in his ninth NBA season, is reaping the benefits of playing alongside the NBA's Big Three in Miami, leaving him to play the game like he is playing in a vacuum, all alone in the gym.
The Miami Heat might be the most scrutinized team in NBA history, but Arroyo never has never had so much room to move on the court.
"This is a fun way to play. It's different. It's new for me, but I'm taking advantage of it,'' he said Friday after helping the Heat beat Philadelphia 99-90, snapping their much-chronicled, three-game losing streak. "This is a different way to play. ''
Arroyo has gone from being viewed as a high-risk, turnover-prone point guard to the hottest spot-up shooter in the NBA.
