Farnsworth will make $3.25 million this season, and the contract has an option for 2012 that could take the total value to $6 million, according to ESPN.com.
Bullpen help is a top remaining priority for the Rays, who have seen almost their entire 2010 relief corps depart this winter. Joaquin Benoit, Dan Wheeler and Randy Choate have signed elsewhere, while Rafael Soriano and Grant Balfour are still looking. There's a chance Balfour could be back in 2011, and Tampa Bay signed free agent Joel Peralta last month, but the Rays still have plenty of holes to fill before spring training.
