Hold the enough of Brett Favre comeback news groans.News is news, especially when talking about a guy who just ended a consecutive games played streak of 297 games.
After sitting out Monday's game against the New York Giants, a Vikings 21-3 loss, Favre might play in Monday night's game
against the Chicago Bears, according to an ESPN.com report.
Vikings interim coach Leslie Frazier said Favre, 41, is his choice to play Monday. Favre is nursing a sprained throwing shoulder and a numb hand, but an ultrasound on his neck and shoulder revealed no nerve damage, according to Frazier.
Frazier is optimistic about Favre's injury not being a concern.
"I don't see that as being part of the equation at this point," Frazier said. "It looks like there's a chance that we're going to be able to get him back at some point. Hopefully this week."
